Terms of Service

Last updated: July 4, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of FrontDesk, an AI-powered phone answering service ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

FrontDesk answers inbound phone calls on behalf of your business using artificial intelligence: it responds to caller questions based on the information you configure, books appointments into your connected calendar, takes messages, and escalates urgent calls to the phone number you designate. Call recordings, transcripts, and summaries are provided in your dashboard.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must be at least 18 and use the Service on behalf of a business. You are responsible for the accuracy of the business information you configure (services, prices, hours) and for keeping your account credentials secure.

3. Subscriptions, trials, and billing

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service for unlawful, deceptive, or harmful purposes, including impersonating another business, configuring the AI to make false claims, or handling calls that involve regulated health information. The Service handles inbound calls only; it does not place outbound marketing calls.

5. Call recording compliance

Calls handled by the Service are recorded and begin with a recording disclosure. You are responsible for ensuring that using the Service, including call recording, is permitted for your business and jurisdiction.

6. AI limitations — important

The Service uses artificial intelligence, which can make mistakes. FrontDesk is designed to only state prices and services you configure and to take a message when unsure, but you should review call summaries and recordings regularly. The Service is not a substitute for emergency services; callers reporting life-threatening situations are directed to call 911. You remain responsible for your business's commitments, quotes, and appointments.

7. Your data

You retain all rights to your business information and call data. You grant us the license needed to operate the Service (e.g., processing call audio to generate transcripts and summaries). Our handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Telephony depends on third-party carriers and networks outside our control. We are not liable for missed calls, lost jobs, or lost profits resulting from downtime or errors, beyond the remedies in Section 9.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

10. Termination

You may cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practicable. Upon termination you may export your call data for 30 days, after which it is deleted per our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified by email or in your dashboard at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
